Finnish manufacturer Metso Outotec says the Kyzyl Aray Copper project is set to become an “important new reference” for the company and its VSFX solvent extraction equipment in the growing Kazakhstan copper market after it won a €35 million (US$37m) contract with the private owner.
Kyzyl Aray Copper is said to be a subsidiary of Caravan Resources, the Indian-based commodity trader and mine owner.
Metso Outotec said the order for copper solvent extraction and electrowinning equipment was booked in its December-quarter minerals business order intake.
