Chrysos extends global reach

Chrysos Corporation CEO Dirk Treasure says the company’s entry into South America is a “particularly important step” as the momentum of international PhotonAssay machine deployments continues to build.

Speaking at the company’s 2025 annual general meeting, Treasure said the move into Chile in partnership with French testing and laboratory services giant Bureau Veritas meant Chrysos had active PhotonAssay deployments and partnerships across Australia, EMEA and the Americas. The partnership with Bureau Veritas meant the world’s four major laboratory networks were Chrysos customers, while entry into South America unlocked “growth opportunities in one of the world’s largest gold mining regions”.

Chrysos’ revenue from PhotonAssay unit sales and mineral sample analysis activity grew 46% year-on-year in FY2025 to A$66.1 million, while EBITDA rose 80% yoy to $16.1 million. PhotonAssay non-chemical, non-invasive sample testing is an alternative to traditional fire assaying.

Treasure said early momentum in FY26 “gives us confidence in our outlook for the year”.

“We reiterate our guidance of revenue between $80-to-$90 million and EBITDA of between $20-to-$27 million. We remain well funded, with $75.7m available in cash and committed debt to support our upcoming deployments, complementing our positive operating cashflow.”

Chrysos signed a master services agreement with gold major Newmont during the year and now works with 14 of the world’s top 20 gold producers.

“Aa surge in capital raising by miners and explorers – beginning in late 2024 – drove increased assay demand in the latter part of the year,” Treasure said.

“Activity in the industry remains elevated and there is a strong flow-through of samples into our PhotonAssay units, particularly into our Western Australian units.”
