CS Energy extends Golding contract

Staff reporter

NRW Holdings unit Golding Contractors has signed a A$245 million, four-year contract extension at CS Energy’s Kogan Creek thermal coal mine in Queensland.

The contract mining agreement has been extended to mid-2030, with an option for CS Energy to extend it for a further 2 years.

Golding said it would supply all major equipment under the CMA with the extension requiring new capital spend of about $10 million in FY2025.

The contractor employs about 100 people at the mine.
