FLSmidth offloads MAAG business

Staff reporter

FLSmidth has flagged a “small net gain” from the exit of its circa-US$60-80 million a year MAAG gears and drives business, sold to Swedish investment company, Solix Group.

MAAG products include industrial gears for mills and kilns, bucket-wheel excavators and belt conveyors, and other heavy-duty cement and mining applications.

FLSmidth expects the deal to close in the current quarter.

“The transaction does not change FLSmidth’s previously announced financial guidance for the full year 2024,” the company said.
