Drilling consumables and technology company Imdex is shaping to square off with the bigger Orica, global leader in mine explosives supply, after the latter announced a US$240 million acquisition of Australian geospatial technology firm, Axis Mining Technology, at the start of August. Orica wants to augment its mining digital offering with Axis’ surveying tools.
