Mining digitalisation focus switches to North America

High-calibre series started in Australia in 2020

The Energy Conference Network (ECN) is continuing its mining technology events in North America after delivering a highly successful series in Australia over the past three years.

Digitalization in Mining North America, scheduled for late August in Toronto, Canada, will cover “three key areas shaping the mining industry’s future regionally and globally”.

They are robotics (and automation), electrification and machine learning.

The Toronto event, from August 31-September1, will feature prominent speaker presentations, strategic insights, case studies and panel discussions. An exhibition area will showcase the latest technology.

ECN, established in 2015, attracts more than 5000 delegates a year to energy and mining conferences in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. Its Mining Innovation Network has hosted a series of Robotics and Automation conferences and events in Australian capital cities, plus an inaugural Machine Learning in Mining forum in Perth and then the first Investment in Energy and Mining Technology Investment Summit in Sydney earlier this year.

The events have featured top-line speakers from large mining, resources and construction companies, as well as METS (mining equipment, technology and services), finance and industry groups. Participants who have not been able to make it to live events have been able to attend virtually.
