Mining comminution consumables manufacturer Molycop expects to complete the acquisition of Western Australia-based metallurgical data analytics and visualisation firm Process IQ this month.
Molycop described the deal as “an exciting and important step in [its] digital transformation”, with Process IQ’s software seen to complement Molycop’s MillSlicer technology platform and add leaching, milling and flotation technical capability.
Process IQ, established in 2011, was a “leading mining technology provider of proprietary data analytics and visualisation, instrumentation and advanced process control solutions”.
“Process IQ has established a reputation for being a trusted technology partner of metallurgists and mineral processing engineers,” Molycop said. The company had “established a strong market presence and reputation for delivering a differentiated technology offering focused on improving customer throughput, recovery and efficiency”.
