Gekko Systems spin-out, Gaia EnviroTech, has secured A$4.3 million of private equity capital from RFC Ambrian Funds Management, allowing it to advance work on its organic waste management and bioenergy services.

Twenty-seven-year mining technology company Gekko formed Gaia in 2017.

The latter has developed modular and flexible anaerobic digestion and in-vessel composting services plus in-house engineering capability and a bio-lab.

RFC Ambrian Funds Management chief investment officer, Stefan Skorut said the firm was keen to support Gaia’s commitment to expanding its portfolio of operating facilities in Australia and beyond.
