ASX-listed RocketDNA says it will establish a site control room for centralised flight operations and data management at Kumba Iron Ore’s Sishen mine in South Africa under a new A$580,000 contract for supply and deployment of seven RocketDNA xBot autonomous drones.

The Australian technology company said delivery of the drones was expected before the end of 2025.

It will also provide technical and operator training for Sishen personnel. Kumba Iron Ore is a subsidiary of Anglo American Corp.

“This deployment of our autonomous xBot systems represents an incredible opportunity to partner with one of the world’s leading mining companies, demonstrating growing confidence in RocketDNA’s solutions,” RocketDNA CEO Christopher Clark said.

RocketDNA has a current market value of about A$12.4 million.
