Alison Price is hoping industry recognition of a large-scale soil remediation project at a major Queensland coal mine can add to the growth momentum she is seeing in SoilCyclers’ mining business, which has trailed the construction and waste sectors in the company’s expansion over the past 13 years.

Price, who founded SoilCyclers in 2009, has ambitious growth plans for the company and sees mining figuring more prominently. A key role in an Idemitsu rehabilitation project at Ensham recently earned SoilCyclers the 2022 Queensland Mining Contractor/Supplier of the Year and Environmental awards at the Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition.

“I think the biggest challenge for us at the moment – and this award will definitely help with this one – is the industry believing what’s possible,” Price told InvestMETS.
