Sweden’s next big Thing

‘I think we can be like the Google or AWS for underground mining’

Jens Eliasson was still feeling jetlagged two days after arriving in Australia on the weekend. But that didn’t dull his excitement about being in the place he expects to shape the future of ThingWave AB over the next 12 months.

Mine trials and partnerships with a major global rock-bolt manufacturer, and a leading geotechnical consulting firm, are imminent.

Eliasson believes now is the time to accelerate ThingWave’s development after strong results from the use of its smart rock bolts and IoT data platform at Finland’s largest underground mine and Europe’s biggest underground gold mine, which also happens to be in Finland.

“We really want to push forward quickly now with the market penetration, especially in Australia,” Eliasson told InvestMETS.com.
