The world’s dominant mining equipment manufacturers sold about US$66.5 billion of machines, parts, technology and services in 2025, similar to 2024. Halfway through 2026 indications are that it could be another flat year despite elevated commodity prices, strong mining company and contractor balance sheets and increased project approvals. We look at 20 leading OEMs supplying most of the mining world’s mobile equipment, stationary plant, parts and hardware-connected technologies. They include 16 public companies and four privately-owned corporations. These groups have led billions of dollars worth of platform and bolt-on technology acquisitions since 2020, helping to transform their aftermarket prospects.
