Mexico-based mining contractor Constructora Minera Villagomez (CoMinVi) has ordered about US$35 million worth of Sandvik underground mining equipment for use at several of its sites.

Swedish manufacturer Sandvik said deliveries of 46 trucks, loaders and drill rigs to CoMinVi would run through 2026 to 2028.

Guanajuato-headquartered CoMinVi was founded by Rafael Villagomez Contreras in 1997.

“Our long-standing partnership with Sandvik has been built on trust, collaboration and proven results,” Villagomez said.

“As strategic partners we have long worked together to implement solutions that support our long-term objectives. This new investment represents another important step in CoMinVi’s growth, enabling us to successfully execute mining projects for our customers while enhancing our responsiveness and competitiveness in the market.”
