Silicon Valley venture funding giant Andreessen Horowitz’s view of artificial intelligence as application software transformer rather than killer fits squarely with Constellation Software CEO Mark Miller’s take. “AI is something we add to make software more valuable,” he said on the company’s latest results call.
“AI simply isn’t going to kill software companies,” Marc Andreessen has said. “After all this panic has passed we’ll see that AI is the best thing that ever happened to the software industry.”
Speaking after Constellation reported 17% year-on-year growth in 2026 second-quarter revenues to US$3335 million, and $6.52 billion of software revenue for the first half of the year, Miller said AI was “changing two things for us”.
“Our customers are asking our software to do more for them while our businesses are finding new ways to build better products faster,” he said.
