The largest supplier of mining equipment-agnostic autonomous haulage systems (AHS) in China remains confident its demonstrated automation-as-a-service offering can be successfully transported to Australia and other markets, its chief operating officer Elaine Jin said at the Austmine Mining Innovation Roadshow in Perth.
Jin said Eacon Mining Technology, formed in Beijing five years ago, was looking for a pilot project in Western Australia to build on its recent deployments in the circa-US$18 billion Chinese market. She said the Australian market was ripe for “competition and better solutions”.
