Western Australia is in pole position to leverage heavy industry data science and automation to build a globally competitive and valuable technology ecosystem off the back of its mineral resource wealth, but key stakeholders need to put the foot down, speakers on an idoba webcast have said.
“If we establish a high level of expertise in automation and AI in Western Australia that is absolutely applicable globally and something that we can export across multiple industry sectors, not just mining,” WA Data Science Innovation Hub director Alex Jenkins said on the call.
“WA could be the best place to do AI in mining.
