The Australian start-up behind a mining networking platform with about 75,000 users is closing on commercial launch of an AI “copilot” software tool that speaks the language of its primary users and is designed for in-field rather than just desktop deployment.
Torqn, established in 2021 by former mining leaders Troy McDonald and Brett Baker, has its DocsAI product moving through piloting at two sites and has brought forward a planned 2027 commercial launch.
“Our plans have accelerated due to the clear need we are seeing in the industry and the positive acceptance of the product so far,” McDonald told InvestMETS.com.
