Regis extends Barminco’s Duketon stay

Western Australia gold miner Regis Resources has extended Barminco’s underground mining contract at Duketon, 130km north of Laverton, by a year to the end of March, 2029.

Barminco parent Perenti Group said the A$180 million extension would not require additional capital investment.

Regis’ initial three-year alliance-style agreement with Barminco was announced in April, 2024.

The ASX-listed gold producer is currently mining underground at Rosemont and Garden Well South at the 230,000-ounces-per-annum Duketon complex. It is Rosemont Stage 3 and Garden Well Main underground mines.
