Metso says newly acquired MRA Automation adds industrial automation expertise and proprietary software to its product and service line-up.
Established in 1998 in Warabrook, New South Wales, in Australia, MRA is said to have about 60 employees.
“This acquisition will enable the deployment of MRA’s smart automation products on a global basis, transforming the bulk material handling sector,” the company’s director of engineering, Peter McPherson, said.
“With MRA’s advanced software platform and services we are expanding our offering to serve bulk and port customers, strengthening our presence in important Australian markets and accelerating our global reach,” said Metso grinding, bulk, pyro and smelting services senior vice president, Jonathan Allen.
The acquisition price was not disclosed and Metso said MRA would have no material impact on its financials.
