China’s Beijing Shougang International Engineering Technology Co (BSIET) has ordered two compact iron ore pelletising plants worth €33 million from a Finnish manufacturer.
The 2.6 million tonnes per annum units are for delivery to Chengde Zhaofeng Iron and Steel Group’s Zhaofeng plant in Hebei province.
Manufacturer Metso Outotec says it will supply instrumentation, control systems and supervisory services and technical training as well as the pelletising plants.
“This is the sixth pelletising plant contract Metso Outotec has won in China since 2020 and the first order for plants of this size in the Chinese market,” the company said.
