Australian underground hard-rock contracting major, Byrnecut, will work with Swedish manufacturer Epiroc on new generation large-loader powertrain development under a recently signed memorandum of understanding.
The MOU commits the two companies to developing and testing a diesel-electric prototype loader at a Byrnecut site in Australia.
A Byrnecut project team is said to be collaborating with Epiroc’s R&D group in Orebro, Sweden.
