EPC Groupe has signed a three-year, €23 million contract to supply explosives to the Boto gold mine in eastern Senegal.
EPC, through subsidiary EPC Mineex Senegal, will deploy two mobile explosives manufacturing units and will supply explosives, blasting accessories, technical services and digital solutions at Boto, operated by Morocco-based Managem Group.
The €350 million, 160,000 ounces-per-annum Boto gold mine in Senegal’s Kedougou region started production last year.
Paris-listed EPC Groupe generated revenue of more than €590 million in 2025. It employs over 2900 people in about 30 countries.
“This is a flagship project for the mining industry in Senegal and West Africa,” EPC Mineex Senegal managing director Rokhaya Sall said.
