German start-up wins backing for ‘human-like’ mining robots

The co-founder of a Berlin-based start-up that has raised US$7.3 million of new private funding says the company has an ambition to “democratise access to automation solutions for all operators”, including those in the mining market.

“While autonomous systems have been used in mining, especially in Australia, mass adoption remains limited,” sensmore CEO Maximilian Rolf told InvestMETS.com.
