Chinese mining contractor JCHX has signed a new five-year “global strategic cooperation agreement” with Epiroc months after renewing a long-term alliance with Epiroc’s Swedish rival Sandvik.
JCHX, a group with owner-mining and mining equipment production arms, have maintained some level of strategic partnership since 2015. Sandvik has worked closely with the Beijing-headquartered group for about 20 years.
Epiroc last month signed a strategic partnership deal with China’s SANY Group.
JCHX and Epiroc officials at a Beijing signing ceremony said the companies had engaged over more than a decade “in practical and efficient cooperation in various areas, including equipment and spare parts supply, technical service support and business training”. The new arrangement would see the alliance transition to a “global, high-level phase of cooperation” while helping drive the industry towards “higher-end, intelligent and green mine development”.
