Codelco, Glencore, Vale and Anglo American business leaders head an early list of speakers at what is shaping as a blockbuster first instalment of the Mining Innovation Network’s Digitalisation in Mining Conference series in South America.
Already well received in Australia and Canada, the MIN series will be expanded to Chile and Sweden in 2023.
As with the earlier events, the organiser is preparing an engaging series of presentations and discussions on mining digitalisation issues and trends for the inaugural Digitalisation in Mining Conference in Santiago, Chile, on March 21-22.
Codelco head of innovation Felipe Merino Grau, Glencore Chile regional technology and operational excellence manager Cristian Carrasco, and Vale head of change management and digital transformation Sandrine Moura are among the keynote speakers in Santiago.
They’ll be joined on the podium by Vale artificial intelligence program leader Douglas Pimenta, Anglo American people and organisation vice president Sofia Sanchez Kramer, Hatch regional digital director Ricardo Aguilera, and Komatsu Chile’s Alvaro Orellana Raccoursier.
MIN says translation services will be available at the event.
Its Digitalisation in Mining events in Australia have drawn hundreds of attendees to venues around the country, including Perth where next year’s Digitalisation in Mining Australia Conference is being held.
MIN is currently offering a special holiday discount on the Santiago event, which expires on December 23 and saves delegates $800.
