Former MineWare vice president Roy Pater will build a Asia Pacific sales and support team for South African-based Ramjack Technology Solutions out of Brisbane, Queensland.

Pater, who spent more than six years at Brisbane-based MineWare either side of its 2017 acquisition by Komatsu, has joined Ramjack as vice president Asia Pacific. Ten-year-old Ramjack, which describes itself as a mining technology integrator, says the region hosts close to 75% of all global mining trade and investment.

Pater also spent time in senior roles at mining software company RPMGlobal, Decoda and Mine Site Technologies (MST), which was bought by Komatsu last year.

“We are pleased to be bringing Ramjack’s operational technology expertise to mines in Asia Pacific,” Ramjack CEO Mike Jackson said.

Pater brought “three decades of leadership experience in technology markets, driving the growth of businesses, brands and people”.

“This critical role is of great importance to Ramjack’s global growth objectives.”
