UFR eyes mining automation ‘white space’

Privately-owned Australian robotics firm Universal Field Robots (UFR) is looking at a significant equity fund-raising later this year to help speed its growth in the estimated US$65 billion mobile mining automation market.

The seven-year-old Brisbane, Queensland-based company sees a significant opportunity to ride a forecast wave of investment by miners in digital transformation through its development of customised robotic mobile equipment.
