B2Gold moves forward on Colombia gold FS

Staff reporter

B2Gold Corp aims to finish a feasibility study on the proposed US$807 million Gramalote gold project in Antioquia, Colombia, by mid-2025.

A preliminary economic assessment reported this week outlined a 10-year openpit mine producing an average 185,000 ounces a year at all-in sustaining costs (AISC) of $886 an ounce.

The average grade processed via a six million tonnes per annum plant would be 1.26 grams per tonne gold over the first five years (234,000ozpa average production) and 1gpt over the life of the project.

“Due to the work completed for previous studies the work remaining to finalise a feasibility study for the updated medium-scale project is not extensive,” B2 Gold said.

“The main work programs for the feasibility study include geotechnical and environmental site investigations for the processing plant and waste dump footprints, as well as capital and operating cost estimates.”
