Staff reporter

Construction and engineering group CIMIC has acquired mineral process design company Prudentia Engineering without disclosing the price.

Queensland-based Prudentia, established in 2014, has about 100 employees. It will be added to CIMIC’s Sedgman engineering business.

CIMIC said the acquisition enhanced Sedgman’s copper, high purity alumina, vanadium, lithium, cobalt, rare earths, uranium and nickel mineral processing expertise.

“Sedgman will apply Prudentia Engineering’s expertise in hydrometallurgy to its global operations, increasing its capability for clients,” CIMIC said.
