Epiroc says its expanded rock drilling tools manufacturing plant in Hyderabad, India, will support its mining industry growth in the country and the region.
Production at the new facility is due to start next month. Epiroc doubled the plant’s capacity in 2017.
“This expanded production capacity in India of high-quality rock reinforcement and rock drilling tools strengthens our long-term commitment to the important and growing Indian market as well as to our customers across the globe,” said Epiroc CEO Helena Hedblom. India accounted for 3% of Epiroc’s 2024 group revenues.
It has about 1600 employees in India. The plant expansion adds 35 new positions to the 300-strong workforce at the Hyderabad site.
