Metso said c€100 million of initial orders for crushing and grinding equipment would be included in its 2024 third-quarter order intake. Deliveries include 51MW ball bills and high-capacity crushers.

“Reko Diq will substantially expand Barrick’s strategically significant copper and gold portfolios and benefit all its Pakistani stakeholders for generations to come,” Barrick CEO Mark Bristow said.

“We are pleased to partner with Metso in this project where sustainable concentrate processing is one of the key drivers for plant design and operation.”

Barrick owns 50% of Reko Diq in partnership with the Balochistan and Pakistan governments.
