Iron ore, coal and gold mine maintenance work is part of A$160 million (US$107m) of new contracts and contract extensions announced by Australian engineering company Monadelphous Group.

Monadelphous also said its first offshore oil and gas decommissioning contract, with Petrofac at its Northern Endeavour Floating Production, Storage and Offtake (FPSO) facility in the Timor Sea, was expected to be completed in the second half of 2023.

The company has been appointed to a “panel” providing non-process infrastructure services across Fortescue Metals Group’s Pilbara operations in Western Australia for a three-year period (with a one-year extension option), and has won a master agreement with Yancoal Australia for the provision of major overhaul and heavy shutdown services at the Mount Thorley-Warkworth coal operations in New South Wales.

A three-year extension to continue providing general, electrical and mechanical maintenance, shutdown support and tank refurbishment services at the Boddington gold mine in Western Australia and Tanami gold mine in the Northern Territory, both operated by US gold major Newmont.
