Sweden’s Sandvik says a €500 million European Investment Bank (EIB) loan will help fund component manufacturing and mining and tunnelling electrification and automation research and development (R&D) investment over the next two years.
“We have a strong strategic focus on developing solutions that improve sustainability, productivity and safety in our core industries of mining, component manufacturing and infrastructure,” CEO Stefan Widing said.
“The EIB cooperation will support our R&D initiatives and our aim to stay at the forefront and develop our technology leadership.”
