ThingWave confirms Mining One alliance

Mining technology company ThingWave has confirmed one of two significant pacts CEO Jens Eliasson expects to sign on his current trip to Australia with its formal agreement to work with Mining One Consultants and Cavroc.

Leading mining and geotechnical consulting firm, Mining One, and software company, Cavroc, are already partners.

Sweden’s ThingWave, a developer of “smart” underground rock bolts and IoT technology, said it was now working with Mining One and Cavroc

InvestMETS.com flagged Eliasson’s plan to enter into an alliance with Mining One earlier this month.

He is also aiming to conclude a partnership deal with a major mine rock-bolt manufacturer on his latest visit to Australia.

“The integration of Mining One’s top-tier rock mechanics solutions and Thingwave’s advanced sensor and digital technologies is set to redefine the landscape of underground mining, ground support design, mine safety, and mine optimisation,” ThingWave said this week.

“Our paramount objective is to transition towards a design approach that is driven by data and analysis, eliminating the influence of subjective opinions.”

Established in 2005, Melbourne-headquartered Mining One has grown to become one of Australia’s largest independent mining consulting groups.
