Roxon Oy, part of Australia’s Nepean group, will design, supply and install conveyors for LKAB’s €550 million Malmberget iron ore sorting plant in Gallivare, Sweden.

Finnish manufacturer Roxon will supply 60 conveyors over two years after winning the order via a competitive tender process.

The billion-dollar-a-year Nepean group also includes conveyor pulley and idler maker Prok, conveyor component producer Gurtec and Alpine, a materials handling engineering, consulting and equipment company.

“This project will provide significant positive employment impact throughout our organisation both in Finland and Sweden,” Roxon general manager Martin Evers said.

“Demanding projects like this one are a part of ROXON’s core expertise.

“We have strong experience executing projects in close cooperation with the customer’s partners, so that the project progresses as planned, on both schedule and budget.”

Roxon reported revenue of circa-€39 million last year.
